About this Position: Position/Specialty: Vascular Interventional Radiology Shift: will work 4 10hr shifts 7:30a-6p/3 12hr shifts 7a-7p rotating Weekend REQ: If on weekend call Is on-call REQ? yes rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? may float within scope to meet facility needs Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 years First-timers accepted: yes Certifications REQ: BLS, ACLS, Active South Carolina or Compact State Nursing License Experience REQ: ER/trauma/ICU/critical care/procedural nursing experience, moderate sedation Exp highly preferred: pediatric/adult vascular IR, circulating for interventional procedures Radiation Badge REQ: Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Misc.: Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/units needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights: Type of Facility: Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma: Magnet, Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 865 Scrub Color: Facility will provide scrubs Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Nights and weekends cost only. Onetime payment of for a parking pass. Hurricane Season Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
