Compensation and Benefits:

  • Weekly Gross: $2,874.00 Per Week
  • On W2(Taxable): $774.00 Per Week ($21.5/hour)
  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,100.00 Per Week

Position Overview:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro ICU/SICU to provide exceptional care for patients in the Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU departments. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of ICU staff experience, including Neuro ICU/SICU settings, and be proficient with Epic electronic medical records (EMR).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU and SICU.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and support staff to provide optimal patient care.
  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, neurological status, and overall health. Assess patients' needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient conditions, interventions, and responses to treatment in the Epic EMR system.
  • Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient care and comfort while maintaining communication with patients' families.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Competency Testing: Complete competency testing within 48 hours of submission, sent via email to candidates.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU staff experience required, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in Neuro ICU and SICU settings.
  • Licensure: Current RN license required. Candidates with pending state licenses may be considered.
  • Epic Experience: Epic EMR experience is REQUIRED.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS certification required.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Information:
  • Submittals: Competency testing is required within 48 hours of submission, with an up-to-date email address provided.
  • Floating Requirements: Candidate may be required to float to other units as needed based on hospital staffing needs.
  • Facility Size: Albany Medical Center is a large healthcare facility, and the ICU departments are part of its 700-bed capacity.
