Job Details - ICU RN position at St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center
- Department: ICU RN
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac, medical detox
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity
- RNs required to titrate drips
- RN required to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Shifts: 7-7, director makes schedule
- Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Will work where there is a need
- Floating Requirements: MS or ER (for 1:1)
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Orientation: 3-12 hour shifts
Job Requirements - Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with the care of trauma patients
- Attributes for success: coachability, motivation, ability to understand and coach unsafe situations, teamwork
Schedule Information - 7-7 shifts
- Weekend Requirements: Will work where there is a need
- Holiday Requirements: Will work where there is a need
- Floating Requirements: MS or ER (for 1:1)
Unit Specific Information - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Those typical to an ICU
- RT Equipment: Nasal cannula to vent
- No nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit
Additional Details - NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT
- Fit Testing/Facial Hair: Clinicians with facial hair must pass fit tests or contract will be canceled
- Radius Rule: 50 miles; candidates may not be employed with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract); additional RTO will not be approved
