Job Details - This is a telemetry (Tele) nursing position, requiring specific tele skills.
Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry, preferably within the past 6 months.
- Capability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, with a maximum of 2 attempts.
- Must pass a SIM LAB on day one of orientation.
- Must have experience with common titratable &/or set rate drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone.
- Nurses must be able to read & interpret tele strips as there's no monitor tech in the ED.
Schedule Information - 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am)
- Ability to self-schedule with potential variations.
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.
- Holiday shifts rotate with the permanent staff.
Unit Specific Information - Nurses on this unit will be caring for patients from the ER waiting on a hospital bed.
- Responsibilities may include helping with ED patients, taking vitals, starting IVs, and administering medication.
- Will not be the primary RN for ED patient assignments.
Additional Details - Travelers must be prepared to float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and EDs as needed.
- No call required.
- Navy colored scrubs/dress code.
