A Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assist in the evaluation of medical conditions. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing high-quality images, and collaborating with physicians to interpret results.
Department: Echocardiology Position Summary Cardiac Sonographer II follows established policies, procedures, and performs and records Echocardiology diagnostic tests. Obtains information about normal and abnormal anatomy used to diagnosis disease. Ensures echo exams are of acceptable quality and records results. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served on their assigned units.
