Position Overview: We're seeking an experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to join a high-performing surgical team in the Operating Room (OR). You will play a key role in delivering hands-on intraoperative care, working closely with surgeons and OR staff to ensure optimal surgical outcomes and patient safety. Key Responsibilities: Assist surgeons in operative procedures by providing exposure, controlling bleeding, and suturing incisions Prepare and maintain the surgical field under sterile conditions Anticipate surgeon's needs and respond efficiently during procedures Ensure patient safety throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases Collaborate effectively with perioperative teams to enhance patient care Requirements: Minimum 6 months of CSFA experience Certification required: NBSTSA or NCCT Active license in state of assignment or compact license Ability to participate in rotating call schedule Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile technique Must complete orientation modules prior to start (compensation provided upon completion) Additional Notes: Travelers must be COVID vaccinated (medical/religious exemptions available) Local candidates (within 50 miles) considered at reduced rates Call hours paid separately ($2/hr with 1-hour minimum callback) No OT, Holiday, or Callback rate multipliers Weekly compensation for module completion prior to start ($250)
