    Job Details
  • Performs diagnostic computerized tomography (CT) procedures as requested by a physician to assist in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Performs daily and weekly quality assurance on CT equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Starts intravenous lines and administers contrast media orally, rectally, and/or intravenously.
  • Enters technical data into computer systems related to CT scans.
  • Assists physicians in performing CT procedures such as biopsies, cardiac, vascular studies, bone density, and 3-D reconstructions.
  • Prepares patients for exams by consenting, explaining procedures, and answering questions.
  • Evaluates patient condition pre and post-procedure and reports changes to nurses or Radiologist.
  • Transports and assists patients during procedures.
  • Assists with emergency medical treatment under physician direction.
  • Attends department meetings and in-services to maintain knowledge of equipment and protocols.
  • Maintains continuing education units (CEUs) and CPR for license.
    Job Requirements
  • At least one year of experience as a licensed technologist.
  • Ability to perform specialized CT procedures.
  • Required certifications: CRT, ARRT (CT), BLS.
  • Agency must provide radiation badge (client does not provide).
  • Epic experience desired: Minimum of 6-12 months within the past year.
