Primary Job Responsibilities
The Airline Department Group Air Specialist is responsible for quoting and booking group contracts. Key responsibilities include:
- Booking Airline Group Contracts: Handling requests from JE in-house coordinators and providing written quotations.
- Budget Management: Managing budgets and selecting the best options within the required budget.
- Adhering to Deadlines: Ensuring compliance with airline contract deadlines for deposits, utilization, and ticketing.
- Ticketing: Booking and ticketing groups using Sabre.
- Support: Assisting with bundling and preparing tickets for groups, and providing other support as needed.
- Payments: Submitting payments for trip logistics to the accounting department on time and maintaining an up-to-date expense ledger.
Position Requirements
- Previous travel agency experience (2-5 years).
- Proficiency in a GDS systems, Sabre preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of domestic and international travel, airlines, and tour operators.
- Flexibility to assist with other travel-related duties during peak times.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry travel modules and online training workshops.
- Understanding of airline policies and deadlines.
- Passing a background check.

Professional Development
Participation in personal professional development includes:
- On-site training (at least 2 sessions at the McKinney location).
- Professional reading related to your field.
- Attendance at Nexion training workshops/bootcamps.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
