Job Details - Responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s).
- Role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement.
- Consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
- Supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
- Span of control 55 to 70 head count.
- Direct accountability and reporting for one or two cost centers, three if span does not exceed 70.
- Maintains clinical RN competency on at least one managed unit.
- Conduct on evaluation of productivity and collaborate with finance to forecast revenue and expenses to prepare and manage the unit/department's budget.
- Ensure appropriate staffing plan matching competency with patient acuity.
- Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
- Involve associates in decision through shared governance structure.
- Develop and maintain relationships with associates, physicians, and patients.
- Promote professional development to improve associate retention.
- Facilitate change management.
- Influence others in fostering a healthy work environment.
- Focus on personal growth and development through involvement in professional associations and/or advancing education.
- Begin to develop an understanding of executive presence.
- Develop, monitor, and respond to a full range of financial, service, and quality indicators in all areas of responsibilities.
- Maintain compliance with operational procedures/ organizational policies for the clinical activities and regulatory readiness.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.
Job Requirements - 3 years RN experience required.
- 1 year clinical leadership experience required.
Additional Details - Floating may be required to any Centura location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or Centura-identified "float zone".
- Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements (including skill set) in accordance with Centura policy.
