PHP is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Olympia, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 04/06/2025 Duration: 15 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel 107 beds Non-trauma designated General Information: Beds: 1 Cath Lab, 1 IR room, 1 Hybrid room Minimum Years of Experience? 2 years of experience. Travelers must have at least Cath Lab experience, but Cath Lab AND IR experience is preferred. Needs to be at Level III or higher Trauma Center Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Cath Lab (required): LHC/RHC, diagnostic, interventional, IABPs, Rotablator, STEMIs/MIs, pacemakers, gen changes, MICRAs; Impella experience preferred. No EP/ablations done at this time IR (experience preferred, can teach): Chemo/coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes/nephroureteral stents, central lines, ports, G/GJ tubes from scratch and exchanges, IVC filter, tunneled and temporary dialysis catheters, Inari/Penumbra/EKOS for clots, shockwave. Will assist CT/MRI with biopsies. No Neuro IR or Y90s done here. Hybrid (experience preferred, can teach): AAA grafts, peripheral/AO runoffs, fistulograms Each room utilizes 3 person teams NO CVOR backup on site, so no staged/protected PCIs/CTOs Cases per day: 7-14 Required Licensure & Certifications: RT: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS certified Skills required: RT: scrub and pan simultaneously, room turnover, transport. Preferred that they have experience with the Assist and Manifold. Support within the Department: No transporter Scheduler will schedule cases Charge nurse or Lead Tech on any given day Phlebotomy: 24/7 RT: 24/7 Hospitalist: 24/7 IR and Cardiologist there working during the day. On call if needed and at night Intensivist there during the day, on call at night Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Pyxis Hemodynamic monitoring: Maclab, but will be transitioning to Merge late 2024 All C-arms: GE Injector: Assist and MedRad Floating: If yes, where? Tech may need to float to OR at some point to assist with vascular cases. If traveler is uncomfortable with this, manager can work around this Orientation (facility and unit): MHS NEO orientation If traveler has no IR experience, they'll be allotted a couple of weeks of orientation. If they have IR experience, will get about 1 week of orientation. Travelers will take buddy call during orientation RN will be required to take MHS Tele test prior to arrival Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Call only, see below On call? Yes 1-2 call shifts during the week, EOS until the following morning 1 weekend per month, EOS Friday - Monday morning 30-minute response time 2 Techs and 1 RN for call team; rarely 2 RNs and 1 Tech Holiday Expectations: call only, every other Approval of RTO: up to 7 days, send for approval for holidays or more than 7 days Shift times: All staff do 10h shifts, . Will have rotating days off Schedule cycle: Lead Tech will create schedules Other notes: Scrub Color: Scrubs and lead provided. Extended sizing is available for scrubs.
