Cath Lab Technician- Days Evanston, IL
Location: Evanston, IL
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Weekend required
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician to assist with procedures and provide diagnostic support through advanced imaging techniques. You will play a key role in conducting organ and body scans, administering contrast media, assisting with complex vascular and nonvascular procedures, and supporting radiologists and PAs in a high-standard care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Conduct organ and body scans, monitor patient condition, and report abnormalities
- Administer contrast media and medications within legal scope and safety guidelines
- Assist with angiographic, vascular, and interventional therapeutic procedures
- Support the Radiologist/PA during specialized imaging exams
- Monitor and refine imaging protocols as needed
- Adhere to radiation safety and compliance standards
- Ensure all activities meet regulatory and quality standards
Licensure / Certification Requirements
- BLS Provider - AHA or American Red Cross (required)
- Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) - ARRT (required)
- Radiologic Technologist License - Issued by Illinois Emergency Management Agency (required)
- Cardiographic Tech - Credentialed from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), required prior to hire/transfer
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - Preferred
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant experience OR
- Associate's/Technical degree OR
- 4 years of cumulative job-specific experience
