The Cath Lab Tech will assist in various cardiac and vascular procedures including coronary diagnostic/intervention, peripheral diagnostic/intervention, and permanent pacemaker placements. The role does not involve weekend or floating duties but includes call requirements. The candidate must be ARRT certified with a valid or pending Fluoroscopy Permit, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. First-time travelers are welcome. The facility is located in scenic Eureka, CA, near beaches and national parks, and is recognized for its excellence in coronary interventions.
Minimum Experience 2 years of recent Cath Lab Tech experience Accepted Traveler Type First-time travelers accepted Certifications Required ARRT (RCIS not accepted), BLS, ACLS, Fluoroscopy Permit (pending accepted if applied) License Requirement Valid CA License required; pending Fluoro Permit considered if application proof is provided Special Skills/Procedures Must be proficient in coronary and peripheral diagnostics/interventions, and pacemaker placements Call Requirements Yes - must be available for on-call shifts Floating Policy No routine floating within unit, but may float to sister facilities if required Weekend/Holiday Work No weekends; must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) Charting Experience Experience with Epic EMR preferred Department Specifics Lab performs procedures for Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease, and Cardiac Arrhythmias Orientation 30 hours in facility, non-billable Modules Pre-start, average 16 hrs, non-billable, required annually
