Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technician (Cath Lab Tech)

Location: Huntington, WV 25702
Employment Type: Contract / Travel
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:45 - 17:15)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic cardiology team. The ideal candidate will assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and procedural efficiency in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures (e.g., angioplasty, stenting, pacemaker insertions).
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and EKGs during procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields and instruments for procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment and manage radiation safety practices.
  • Support physicians with catheter insertion and contrast injections.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and procedure logs.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations (e.g., code blue, cardiac arrest).
  • Assist in post-procedure patient care and transport as needed.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field.
  • Certification (one or more): RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), ARRT, or equivalent.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (current).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience .
  • Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, radiation safety, and cardiac anatomy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
