The Temp Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies, including:
Transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
Operating ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
Accurately recording and documenting patient data and scan results in the hospital system. Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field. Licensing/Certification:
RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer - CCI) - Required.
RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist - CCI) - Preferred.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) - Required. Experience:
2-3 years of full-time experience in a dedicated echocardiography lab preferred.
Vascular ultrasound experience preferred.
Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred.
