The ideal candidate for the Trauma Counselor ll position will have a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the impact of sexual assault and be able to provide effective counseling to survivors. We need someone willing to work with children and adults and be available to work two evenings a week. You will work primarily with individuals but may include working with family/couples and group work. You will be based in our Kankakee office but will need the ability to travel to our Watseka and Paxton offices as needed.
You must have a Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field and be licensed or licensed eligible to qualify for this role. To thrive in this role, you must be victim-centered, detail-oriented, and skilled in interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
