Position Title: Transportation Support Representative- Bilingual

Position Type: Full-Time (37.5+- 40 hours/week), Non-Exempt

Work Setting: Hybrid

Schedule: Wednesday -Sunday, 7:00am-3:00pm

Reports To: Transportation Manager

Pay Range: $20-21/hour

Position Overview:

Join a mission-driven team that makes a real difference in the lives of older adults. As an On-the-Go Transportation Support Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for older adults requesting transportation services that help them maintain independence and age in place with dignity. In this role, you'll provide compassionate, high-quality customer service over the phone and offer administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities:
  • Handle heavy inbound calls from riders, volunteers and drivers
  • Accurately enter and update rides with the highest level of accuracy in web-based ride-scheduling software
  • Accurately and effectively explain the program, requirements and information about booking rides to new riders
  • Monitor and keep track of program parameters
  • Interact with riders, volunteers and drivers to solve transportation concerns with professionalism and in a time sensitive manner
  • Assist with the continual development, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of the transportation program
  • Handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively
  • Work closely with JFS internal referral team (ACCESS) to enroll new riders
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:
  • At least one year of experience providing rides to older adults
  • Spanish/English bilingual
  • High school diploma
Skills/Abilities We'd Like You to Have:
  • 2 years' related work experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, including through email, TEAMS posts, and internal communications
  • Experience working with the elderly and volunteers a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task
  • Basic typing and computer skills
  • Excellent phone and customer service etiquette
  • Ability to use multi-line phone system and handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Active listener
  • Problem solving/critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Use a computer, keyboard, monitor, printer
