Transportation Clerk I/ Customs clerk

Title: Customs clerk
Location: Mcdonough GA - (Remote is fine but need to pickup the equipment from Office)
Duration:4 Months and Possibility of Extension
Work hours: 8 am - 5 pm

Specific Skills Needed: advanced in Excel a must
Years of Experience: 2 - 4
Reason for request: The temps are needed to help with a project. We don't have enough internal resources to complete the project on time.

Responsibilities:

• Import Freight Forwarding experience

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in operational clearance of import shipments (7501, CI, PL, AWB etc.)

• Knowledge of HTS classifications

• Reviewing and entering data information into the appropriate databases

• Proactively verifying data through source documents

Skills needed:

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

• Highly organized, demonstrating attention to details

• Ability to prioritize and manage time

• Ability to work quickly with thoroughness and efficiency

• Ability to work in a team

Education and Experience:

• 2-4 years of Customs entry writer experience

• High School diploma or equivalent, required

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
