JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Transmissions Design Associate Director to lead a team of engineers in the design and analysis of commercial and military gearboxes, ensuring technical excellence and team development.
Responsibilities:
- Direct technical execution, resolve top issues, manage budget and performance, and implement process improvements.
- Spearhead technology development and research at PW's University Transmissions Design Center of Excellence.
- Own the execution of both near-term and long-term strategy.
- Oversee a team comprising of a Senior Manager and transmission engineers with various experience levels.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute comprehensive employee development plans.
- Ensure the team's quality standards by leading discipline reviews and approving work for technical completeness, accuracy, and overall quality; Set strategic and annual objectives, review progress, provide feedback, and manage resources to meet commitments and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Travel up to 10%.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
- 10-12 years of Engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, or an Advanced Degree in Engineering
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
