The Transaction Services Senior Manager has mastered the skills and requirements of the manager role and has been identified as possessing the prerequisite skills to grow into a future partner/managing director or principal. The Senior Manager is developing greater leadership skills and continuously taking on greater responsibilities. The Senior Manager is building the capacity to assist the partners/managing directors in assuming overall responsibilities in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: engagement management & client service, sales, practice development, marketing, cross selling, discipline & industry expertise, external activities & networking, leadership, people development, and strategic business planning.
Tasks
- Lead financial due diligence (buy-side and sell-side) engagements including:
- Quoting and scoping prospective engagements;
- Directing and performing analysis;
- Leading management discussions and correspondence;
- Preparation and presentation of key deal analysis (Quality of Earnings, Net Working Capital, Debt & Debt-Like, etc.);
- Writing reports and delivering findings to clients.
- Support UHY Corporate Finance marketing and business development through participation in marketing efforts, networking events, preparation of pitchbooks and related materials.
- Manage and communicate pipeline and project status internally and with clients.
- Develop standards, practices, procedures, templates and thought leadership.
- Participate in recruiting and interviewing / candidate selection.
- Develop and mentor staff.
Skills
- Demonstrable M&A execution experience
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and financial statements
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Adaptable, having the ability to transition between multiple projects / coverage sectors seamlessly
- Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and superior written and oral communication skills (ability to relay critical issues to senior professionals concisely)
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct
- Experience with writing financial due diligence reports and constructing detailed financial models
- Highly motivated individuals that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in all tasks performed
- Proficient level of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Experience and Education
Education
- Minimum Bachelor's degree:
- Bachelor's in Accounting for Audit or Tax
- Related Business Degree for Consulting
Experience
- 8+ years in accounting
- Public accounting preferred
License / Certification
- Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") designation preferred
- Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred

This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate's knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $140,000 to $215,000.
