What We're Looking For:

We're seeking an enthusiastic individual for the Training Store Manager (TSM) position, designed to equip you with the skills needed to manage your own store. Under the guidance of an experienced Store Manager or District Manager, you'll engage in a hands-on developmental program that focuses on your personal and professional growth in retail management.

What You'll Do:

This is a Full-Time Hourly Supervisory Position. Your role as a TSM is essential for your development, providing both training opportunities and work assignments aimed at preparing you for promotion to a Store Manager. You will have the chance to lead, coach, and support your team while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Collaborating closely with your Store Manager, you will oversee daily operations, product management, and ensure your team is well-equipped for success.
  • Actively engage in training initiatives, projects, and goals to enhance your skills for a future leadership position.
  • Support the overall shopping experience by focusing on visual and operational excellence, driving sales initiatives, and building strong customer relationships that foster loyalty.
  • Achieve personal sales and productivity targets while mentoring sales associates to excel in meeting their own sales goals.
  • Develop leadership and managerial skills by providing ongoing feedback to store associates and participating in recruitment and performance management.
  • Handle daily operations which include cash management, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with GNC procedures.
  • Represent GNC at community events to promote our mission and initiatives.
Note: Selection for the TSM role does not guarantee promotion to a Store Manager position. A performance assessment will occur at the end of 90 days to evaluate your readiness for promotion based on various factors including performance, availability of openings, and willingness to relocate.

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
  • Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting movements are necessary.
  • Repetitive hand and arm motions may be required.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds regularly; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Climb ladders and manage stock in varying temperatures.
  • Utilize a computer for a significant portion of your day.
TSMs are expected to work five days per week, totaling 40 hours, with specific guidelines:
  • Work at least two evenings per week until closing, one weekend night, and one additional night.
  • Be available for a full Saturday shift.
  • Work during busy periods including weekends and at least one Sunday monthly.
  • Downtown TSMs must work during peak lunch hours and one closing shift weekly if applicable.
  • Be prepared to work all holidays that the store is open.
