Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Developer with a strong background in telecommunications and fiber optic systems. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality technical training programs to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced telecom infrastructure-including fiber optic networks-on aircraft and in ground systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, videos, and hands-on labs, focused on telecom and fiber optic technologies used in aviation.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and field technicians to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with operational needs.
  • Deliver both instructor-led and virtual training sessions to technical personnel including maintenance teams, avionics technicians, and engineers.
  • Translate complex telecom and fiber optic concepts into clear, actionable training objectives and materials.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance metrics; implement improvements as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulations, industry standards, and emerging technologies in fiber optics and aviation telecom systems.
  • Support onboarding of new technicians and continuous education for existing team members.
  • Utilize LMS (Learning Management System) platforms to manage course content and track learner progress.
Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in telecom or fiber optic training development, preferably within the aviation, aerospace, or defense industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of fiber optic systems, telecom infrastructure, and aerospace communication standards.
  • Experience in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and proficiency with tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulations, MRO environments, and aircraft communication systems.
  • Hands-on experience with telecom or fiber optic installation and diagnostics is highly desirable.
