Role Responsibilities
- To support the Quantity Surveying team in the commercial management of construction projects, assisting in cost control, procurement, valuations, and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
- Support the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Help in valuing completed work and arranging payments.
- Assist in preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and support the cost reporting process.
- Help in the management of variations and change orders.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with project teams and clients.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for commercial activities.
Requirements
- Good numeracy, communication, and organisational skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to learn and work on construction sites as required.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Interest in construction or civil engineering, with a desire to pursue a career in quantity surveying.
- Previous work experience or internship in the construction industry.
