Responsibilities of the Traffic Clerk?
-
Collaborates across departments to align commercial, logistical, and accounting efforts, improving efficiency and decision-making.

Monitors shipping documents, alerts Traffic Coordinators to delays, and assists in resolution.

Archives shipping documents in the enterprise system and retrieves missing documents using available reports.

Updates shipment status via ERP and customer portals.

Manages inventory levels at assigned warehouses, coordinating product movement and resolving related issues.

Maintains warehouse communications and positive relationships with personnel.

Addresses issues with non-compliant vendors alongside Traffic Coordinators.

Supports blending, drying, and re-bagging processes with the Commercial Department.

Assists with claims to ensure timely resolution.

Keeps warehouse files updated (rates, SOPs, insurance, contacts) and supports carrier/warehouse relationships.

Prepares monthly inventory reconciliation and works on expanding electronic archiving.

Performs other tasks as assigned by the DTA Supervisor.
Qualifications Preferred of the Traffic Clerk

Resourceful, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer skills.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or administrative roles.
