Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an Application Programmer V to join their team. As an Application Programmer V, you will be part of the Global Markets team supporting the GM Intraday Risk Horizontal initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Application Programmer V
Location: New York, NY - Hybrid work schedule
Pay Range: $71.60 per hour (W2 only)
What's the Job? - Act as the first point of contact for end business users in FICC for all intraday risk issues.
- Troubleshoot complex end-to-end flow of trades and market data updates.
- Own and deliver onboarding support for new lines of business and workflows.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts.
- Proactively identify and resolve problem hotspots to enhance operational efficiency.
What's Needed? - Hands-on experience providing direct support to front office trading desks.
- Business knowledge of fixed income products and understanding of market data flows.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and ITRS Geneos.
- Experience with Unix, SQL, and Python programming.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and grid computing concepts.
