The Retail and Consumer Goods Practice at Infosys Consulting works with clients to drive business value through effective people, process, and technology investments. We work with clients to realize value at all stages of an initiative's lifecycle. As an expert in Trade Promotion management (TPM), you would be responsible for managing and leading client projects on behalf of Infosys consulting helping them analyze various problems in the Trade Promotions, Trade terms and Contract management focus area, define vision/strategy, possible solutions and work with the larger technology organization to drive use case realization.

Key Responsibilities -

Key responsibilities on client engagement as TPM consultant would include the following:

  • Lead or be part of engagements to define vision and strategy for various stakeholders and user persona for RGM and Trade Promotions Management domain.
  • Asses AS-IS TPM processes followed by top brands or retailers, helping identify problems and bottlenecks, define process maps and blueprint SOPs, finalize TO-BE capabilities, and come up with roadmap.
  • Analyze and benchmark TPM processes and come up with best practices and recommendations.
  • Work closely with clients to understand the strategy and vision and define the process blueprint or detail the requirements for subsequent realization by technology teams.
  • Work with RGM/TPM COE of clients to define product roadmap, playbooks and help realize their vision by collaborating with agile organizations.
  • Perform value stream mapping for existing TPM processes to identify gaps and provide recommendations (technology changes, process improvements, change management etc.).
  • Leverage and apply new innovative techniques (analytics, AI/ML, scenario planning) to improve promotion performance and uplift, measure, and report on KPIs and deliver value.
  • Collaborate with technology arms of Infosys Ltd to ideate and drive Go-To market initiatives and proactively take it to clients and win deals for consulting.
  • Lead functional workshops preparation and collaborative execution for blueprint definition and writing.
  • Perform gap analysis and bridge/closure options recommendations.
  • Supporting End-customer Key-User during hyper care phase (from Go-Live to project sign-off

Other Responsibilities:

  • Business Development - Responsible for helping Principals in establishing a strong working relationship with clients and building add-on business for the practice and the firm.
  • Thought Leadership - Provide insight to new and emerging best practices in the retail and consumer goods domain. And innovate to customize recommendations to a client's specific business needs.
  • Practice Contribution - Expected to contribute to the growth and vitality of the practice in various roles such as collateral development, case study compilation, and methodology development.
  • Consulting Delivery - Responsible for delivering world-class practices and processes to our clients. Interface with middle and senior-level client personnel to develop business implementation strategies, formulate projects plans, and address specific issues that may arise during an engagement. Designing outstanding business solutions to support Best Practice implementations.
  • Continuously enhance and upgrade skills through training - both internal and external and ensuring relevancy
  • Depending on client program size, manage and mentor a team of 2-3 members.

Requirements:

  1. MBA from Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-school or Bachelor of Engineering from top Universities with minimum of 5+ years of experience in TPM.
  2. Preferred experience in interaction with senior management, even if occasional
  3. Must have great executive presence and strong communication skills.
  4. Deep TPM process knowledge (promo management, trade terms, business planning etc)
  5. TPM Implementation experience (e.g., functional, business)
  6. Knowledge of integration (e.g., Accruals and Settlement) with ERP systems.
  7. Must have reasonably good understanding of CPG/Retail processes.
  8. Understanding of industry best practices in the retail and CPG space
  9. Experience leading IT and Consulting projects
  10. Experience working with business partners in multiple affiliates.
  11. Experience with Agile and/or SAFe would be an added benefit.
  12. Good learning ability regarding business processes and technologies
  13. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, collaboration, and teamwork.
  14. Self-motivated to prioritize and complete multiple tasks without direct supervision.
  15. Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, priorities
