Job Title: Systems Security Administration (SSA) Team Lead Location: Washington, DC Clearance: Top Secret Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Systems Security Administration (SSA) Team Lead to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the ATS system change management processes and ensuring SSA controls are consistently implemented and applied across all systems. As a Team Lead, you will provide oversight and guidance to the SSA team, ensuring that security activities, risk posture, and compliance requirements are met. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the ATS system change management processes, ensuring SSA controls are consistently applied and maintained. Provide systems security program management support for ATS, ensuring that security standards are adhered to and continuously improved. Deliver status reports on security activities, including risk posture and compliance levels, to senior leadership and stakeholders. Identify gaps in Information Systems (IS) SSA controls and develop mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities. Advise on new user account profiles and roles to ensure proper segregation of duties and adherence to "need-to-know" and "least privileges" access control policies. Manage annual user recertifications for supported financial and facilities applications, ensuring compliance with internal and external policy requirements. Collaborate with relevant parties to obtain appropriate approvals for user profiles and roles, ensuring all access requests follow established security protocols. Support FSA-IS and A-123-IS Assessment audits related to SSA functions, ensuring proper artifacts are maintained for audit purposes. Continuously assess and improve SSA processes to meet organizational security objectives and minimize risks. Qualifications: Top Secret Security Clearance required. Proven experience in Systems Security Administration or a similar role, with a deep understanding of security program management. Strong knowledge of security controls, access management, and compliance requirements, especially in government or federal environments. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to explain complex technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex security issues in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize competing tasks, and maintain professionalism under pressure. Interpersonal skills : patience, a customer-friendly attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong understanding of segregation of duties (SoD), access control principles, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST). Experience with security audits and maintaining appropriate documentation for compliance assessments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with A-123-IS Assessments and FSA-IS security audits.
