Detailed Job Description:
- Design tooling and fixturing to meet process/design intent:
- Partner with manufacturing engineers, shop engineers, and Services Technology Leaders to identify a list of needed tooling and fixturing at the Client Services Technology Acceleration Center (STAC) facility and for the Services Manufacturing Engineering (SME) organization.
- Create tooling and fixture designs in GEA format within UG/Teamcenter from the identified project deck within overall project schedules.
- Revise existing tooling and fixturing drawings/CAD while maintaining revision control per organization practices.
- Reverse-engineer CAD and/or drawing data from physical tooling from other sites.
- Support Services Technology Leader in creation/updates to standard site template/seed files.
- Support in-house and OV tooling suppliers in design updates to ease/expedite manufacture.
- If necessary, issue engineering drawings to Digital Thread in compliance with GEA standards.
- Create/maintain a list of GEA in-house tooling drawing best practices/standards/templates.
- Role is located on-site at Springdale, OH facility
- Limited project management experience ideal (ability to manage personal workload)
- Aerospace MRO experience preferred
- Understanding of shop operations and manufacturing processes
- Ability to support global supply chain working across time zones
- Familiar with GEA design software (NX/Teamcenter)
