Tooling Design Engineer

Job Details

• Design tooling and fixturing to meet process/design intent:
• Partner with manufacturing engineers, shop engineers, and Services Technology Leaders to identify a list of needed tooling and fixturing at the Services Technology Acceleration Center (STAC) facility and for the Services Manufacturing Engineering (SME) organization.
• Create tooling and fixture designs in format within UG/Teamcenter from the identified project deck within overall project schedules.
• Revise existing tooling and fixturing drawings/CAD while maintaining revision control per organization practices.
• Reverse-engineer CAD and/or drawing data from physical tooling from other sites.
• Support Services Technology Leader in creation/updates to standard site template/seed files.
• Support in-house and OV tooling suppliers in design updates to ease/expedite manufacture.
• If necessary, issue engineering drawings to Digital Thread in compliance with standards.
• Aerospace MRO experience preferred
