Description
The Tool Design Engineer will report directly into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Design and develop tools, jigs, and fixtures to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure tools meet operational requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for tool designs.
- Maintain and update documentation for tool designs and modifications.
- Provide technical support for tool maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.

Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in tool design
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, materials, machining, and fabrication processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of automation and robotics in tool design.
