Position Summary:
Redding Christian Fellowship is seeking a dedicated Middle School Youth Ministry Director to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Lead Pastor, the ideal candidate will be passionate about helping middle school students develop a strong foundation in their faith while equipping a leadership team of staff and volunteers. This role requires a commitment to teamwork, strong communication skills, and a heart for disciplining young believers and reaching out to unchurched youth.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Ministry Team to develop and implement an engaging ministry program consistent with Scripture and the mission and vision of Redding Christian Fellowship.
Support the planning and development of youth retreats, mission trips, fundraisers, and other special events, ensuring a balanced and enriching experience for participants.
Participate in recruiting, training, and equipping a volunteer leadership team for the middle school ministry, fostering a culture of discipleship and spiritual growth.
Teach Bible lessons on a regular basis, providing an engaging and age-appropriate approach to spiritual instruction.
Contribute to the planning and facilitation of games and activities for weekly youth meetings, promoting fellowship and community-building among middle school students.
Attend and actively participate in monthly staff meetings, collaborating with other ministry leaders to ensure effective partnership between various age-specific ministries.
Maintain open communication with the Middle School Ministry Team regarding assignments, meeting preparation, and performance expectations, demonstrating a commitment to responsibility and organization.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor and approved by the Board of Elders to support the overall success of Redding Christian Fellowship's middle school ministry.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Affirm Redding Christian Fellowship's doctrinal statement and a commitment to personal adherence to its teachings.
Demonstrate genuine love for middle school students and a passion for helping them establish lifelong relationships with Jesus Christ.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team of volunteer staff and maintain positive relationships across generational lines.
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high levels of responsibility and dependability.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate with other ministry staff and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
Abide by the Redding Christian Fellowship Policies and Procedures Manual, By-laws, and Statement of Faith, reflecting a dedication to personal and professional integrity.
