At Scranton Chevrolet, our dealership has been extremely fortunate to continue to grow with the support of our community and loyal staff. We are looking for a candidate that is driven to process incoming vehicle deals and DMV paperwork. Must be detail oriented and able to thrive in a multi tasking environment.

Essential Duties:
  • Breakdown and ensure accuracy of incoming paperwork from vehicle sales to ensure all information is complete and mail out bank contracts when necessary.
  • Processes and register out of state registration.
  • Prepares title documents to scan and mail to CT DMV.
  • Stock in new and used vehicles.
  • Verifies that funds have been collected.
  • Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
  • Bills out all dealer trades and wholesales and prepares Certificates of Origin and titles.
  • Payoff trade liens.
  • Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work.
  • Stocks in new and used vehicles into inventory.
  • Report new vehicle deliveries to GM and apply for GM incentives.
  • Processes and registers all vehicle warranties and extended service contracts.
  • Order license plates from DMV and reconcile monthly.
  • Stays abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations.
  • Cross-train.
  • Address any title related issues promptly, collaborating with necessary parties to find efficient solutions.
  • Able to do other accounting duties in the office as assigned.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Maintain accounting schedules assigned to you.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
  • Proficient in using compute systems for data entry and record keeping.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures all paperwork is up to State and Federal guidelines.
  • Ensures that necessary controls are in place to safeguard dealership asset.
  • Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
  • Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulation.
  • Maintains effective employee relation.

Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of the Reynolds & Reynolds preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior automotive experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software Word and Excel.
