The Opportunity:

Join the United States Capitol Police (USCP) as a Senior Tier II Computer Specialist and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our cutting-edge technology infrastructure. This position offers a unique chance to support the important work of the USCP while advancing your career in IT support and management.

Hybrid role. 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Must be onsite for the first 30days.

0600 - 1800 Hours - Shift work. Travel is involved.

Responsibilities:
•   Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and tablet systems across the USCP's distributed computer environment
•   Install and configure hardware, software, and peripherals for networked and stand-alone environments
•   Provide expert technical support and guidance to USCP users on various computer systems and software
•   Manage the lifecycle of computer equipment, including preparation for reuse, refresh as part of the Capital Equipment Refresh Program (CERP), and proper disposal
•   Administer and test standardized hardware, software, and network configurations
•   Coordinate equipment relocation during office moves Qualifications:

Required:
•   Must be an US Citizen and pass OBIC Criminal Check
•   Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
•   5+ years of experience in a similar IT support role
•   Proficiency with Microsoft Windows (7 and 10), Microsoft Office 2016, and Exchange/Outlook
•   Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues
•   Experience with trouble-ticketing systems
•   Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•   Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Desired:
•   Experience supporting local and wide area networks
•   Familiarity with mobile platforms and tablet devices
•   Knowledge of IT asset management practices

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$45,400 - $90,900
