Intensive Family Therapist
Description of Service
Under the general direction of the Director of Youth and Family Services andIntensive Family Therapy Service Manager , the Intensive Family Therapist interfaces with juveniles in a placement facility/detention center or community-based site. The Intensive Family Therapist provides direct clinical treatment to assigned families using methods compatible with Multisystemic Therapy (MST) principles and practices. The Intensive Family Therapist receives specialized training in MST practices to serve these youth and their families. The Intensive Family Therapy Program includes a team of highly skilled Intensive Family Therapists that are trained in providing Multi-Systemic Therapy. Intensive Family Therapist work in the home, school, and community and are on-call 24/7 to provide caregivers with the tools they need to transform the lives of troubled youth. The Intensive Family Therapist gets to work closely with a small caseload of 5 youth, and their families. This position provides crisis counseling and intervention to individuals to reduce symptoms, provide education and prevent admission to a more restrictive environment. This position additionally works with individuals and families to update demographic data, provides uniform assessments required by the state authority and the Center, collaborates with individuals served to develop person-centered recovery plans, and provides rehabilitation therapies and documentation of services delivered in accordance with individual need. This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary team for the common goal of wellness and recovery based on the youth's and their families strengths and needs. This position has extensive travel, on call, and on call weekend coverage required. This position involves working with potentially aggressive youthful offenders.
Rate of Payment
$47 per hour/ 40 hours per week

Eligibility
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in clinical or counseling psychology, social work and/or marriage and family is required. Fully licensed as an LPC, LCSW or LMFT, or in clinical supervision towards advanced licensure.
2 years' experience post graduate experience working in a clinical setting, which at least one year includes working with families.
