Summary
The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing high-quality care and support to individuals battling addiction and co-occurring disorders, helping them navigate their road to recovery.
Essential Job Functions

Provide quality customer service to personnel, persons served, families and stakeholders.
Help maintain the health, safety and welfare of personnel, persons served and stakeholders.
Ensure the agency is operating under CARF accreditation standards.
Ensure the company adheres to the state and federal licensure and regulations.
Conduct client intakes, screenings and referral services.
Provide individual and group services for clients with substance abuse disorders and a variety of presenting problems in Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient settings.
Participate in regular treatment team meetings.
Prepare treatment plans, write SMART goals and objectives
Complete initial and concurrent ASAM reviews.
Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with agency documentation time frame policy.
Work as part of a multi-discipline team with emphasis on brief, goal-oriented therapy.
Consult and educate in the community and with agencies such as law enforcement, industry community-based services.
Counselors may be required to work an altered schedule and provide clinical services one to two evenings per week.
Build and/or facilitate a curriculum and provide psychoeducation class/process groups.
In collaboration with other staff and case managers, initiate and maintain complete up-to-date client records including but not limited to client files, incident reports, and discharge plans.
Collaborate with the Clinical Director and facility staff in program development and client consultation. Provides counseling, feedback, and education to all clients in collaboration with other members of the Leadership team.

Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
Active LMSW, LCSW, LCP, or LMFT to practice in Georgia. Will consider associate licensure with expectations to pursue full licensure.
Previous experience with the treatment of substance use disorders and common co-occurring disorders.
Previous experience in IOP, PHP, detox, or residential strongly preferred.
Minimum of 24 consecutive months with no felonies or substance related convictions.
Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental approach to counseling.
Knowledge or interest in one or more evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Proficient in the use of computers, experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office preferred.
Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR).
Comfortable with utilizing technology at all points of the day, including telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools.

Physical and Environmental Demands:
Visual acuity and manual dexterity are needed for required paperwork. Frequent talking and hearing are required when communicating with clients, co-workers, families, and other service providers. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. Physical demands are light with walking, standing, and reach with hands and arms. Continuing Education Requirements
Employee is expected to participate in appropriate continuing education that may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor. In addition, employee is expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job-related skills and abilities. Employee must attend mandatory education programs.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
