Behavioral Technicians(BT) and Registered Behavioral Technicians(RBT) are highly encouraged to apply
Requirements - Trained in PMT/CPI or willing to be trained
- Provides intervention supports to families for the benefit of the child
- Provides data and input as needed
- May function under regular supervision by a professionally licensed or certified personnel
- Reports to work as scheduled
- Other duties may be assigned
- Valid Connecticut driver's license
- Able to keep documentation of services
- 3 years of experience working with Children
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Therapeutic Support Staff Training is provided before working (Training cost will be deducted from the first paycheck)
Description of DutiesThe primary focus of this role is to provide in-home support one-on-one with a young client in accordance with his/her individual behavior treatment plan. The duties are varied from assisting the child or teen in avoiding unacceptable behavior, playing an emotionally supportive role, encouraging social interaction and participation in group activities, and helping the child's family and caregivers promote acceptable behavior and more independence.
