In This Role You Will:

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Textiles across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Teach technical skills including sewing, pattern cutting, embroidery, and fabric manipulation

  • Foster creativity, precision, and an understanding of sustainability in design

  • Support learners of all abilities and contribute to their personal and academic growth

  • Participate in extra-curricular opportunities such as fashion shows, exhibitions, and clubs

  • Collaborate with the wider DT team on curriculum planning and resource development

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • A degree in Textiles, Fashion Design, or a related subject and QTS (or be on track to obtain it)

  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching practical, hands-on lessons

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • A commitment to inclusive education and the confidence to support diverse learners

  • A current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one
