Fashion Brand looking for a Direct Hire Textile Manager

OVERVIEW:

The Textile Laboratory Manager will oversee the technical lab, which is crucial for conducting precise color approvals, shrinkage tests, and appearance assessments after washing. This role is pivotal in expanding our lab capabilities to include colorfastness testing and ensuring that our products meet our exceptional quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and expand lab capabilities for advanced textile testing.
  • Oversee the Lab team and Fabric Product Integrity Team, setting and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Manage and oversee the daily workload at lab facilities, ensuring efficient prioritization and timely completion of testing.
  • Work closely with the Raw Materials Color team to influence and enhance fabric development, focusing on color fidelity and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the Raw Materials team to address and resolve fabric-related manufacturing issues.
  • Ensure consistent quality and operational standards across both local and international lab setups, including regular monitoring and evaluation of our lab in Nicaragua.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6-8 years of experience
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role within the textile or fashion industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of dyeing, fabric manufacturing, and textile testing.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, capable of directing and developing teams.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to Nicaragua, to oversee lab operations.
  • Strong collaborative and influential skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments.
