Our client, a world-class developer of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, is seeking a Test Development Technician to join its team in Concord on a long-term contract basis.
Responsibilities:
Working with the Test Development Engineering group in an R&D environment, the candidate will be responsible to develop, assemble, and commission test fixtures for the testing of PCBAs including:
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly work on fixtures including soldering, PCBA rework, part, equipment and instrument integration with mechanical housings.
- Generate purchase requisitions to procure parts.
- Perform troubleshooting.
- Perform testing on PCBA modules using the test fixtures.
- Generate test reports.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician Diploma.
- 5+ years experience in electro-mechanical assembly and test in Engineering and/or manufacturing Environment for electronics.
- Interpret Assembly drawings, procedures, and CAD drawings
- Use of CAD software an asset (e.g. PCB design, schematic capture, LabVIEW)
- Perform Problem Solving/Root Cause analysis methodology an asset
Additional Requirements:
- Working knowledge in MS Office applications
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
