Testing Lead for Web-Based Application with Reporting, Data Warehouse (Microsoft Stack), and Third-Party Integration
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing Lead to join our team for a new development project with a large financial client.
As a Testing Lead, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the testing activities for our web-based application with reporting and data warehouse components.
The application is developed on the Microsoft stack, incorporates Tableau for reporting, and requires seamless integration with third-party systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the testing team to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of the web-based application, reporting, data warehouse, and third-party integrations.

• Define testing strategies and approaches, including both manual and automated testing methodologies.

• Design, implement, and maintain an automation testing framework using Selenium for the Microsoft stack-based web application.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, identify testing scope, and define testable acceptance criteria.

• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans to address potential testing challenges and issues related to reporting and third-party integrations.

• Test and validate Tableau reports and visualizations for accuracy, performance, and usability.

• Monitor and track defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution and closure.

• Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements and enhancements to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices, and proactively introduce new approaches to enhance the testing process.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to the testing team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Testing Lead or similar role, specifically working with web-based applications, reporting (preferably Tableau), data warehousing, and third-party integrations in the Microsoft stack.

• Strong expertise in automation testing using Selenium, including designing and implementing an automation framework.

• Solid understanding of the Microsoft stack, including technologies such as C , ASP.NET, SQL Server.

• Experience testing Tableau reports and visualizations for accuracy, performance, and usability.

• Familiarity with third-party integrations and the associated testing challenges.

• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, strategies, and best practices, including both manual and automated testing.

• Proficient in test planning, test case creation, and defect tracking tools.

• Experience with performance testing tools and techniques is a plus.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex testing issues.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to lead and motivate a team to achieve project goals.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey testing concepts and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
