Kavaliro is seeking a Test Engineer to support a client in Virginia. Job Description:
Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases. Execute manual testing procedures to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure compliance with specifications. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes and increase test coverage. Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes have not adversely affected existing functionality. Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and improve overall product quality. Analyze test results and provide clear and concise reports on testing progress, defects, and overall product quality. Work closely with developers to isolate, reproduce, and debug issues found during testing. Continuously improve testing strategies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectivenessRequired Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in writing and executing manual test cases and test scenarios. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium or Win App Hands-on experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Node, or JavaScript. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Desired Skills Number of Years of Experience Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester). Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or Git CI/CD. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Understanding of web technologies (HTML, Java, JavaScript) and web application architectures.
