Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) located in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Test IPT Lead who is responsible for leading cross-functional teams during the proposal phase, design and manufacture phase of complex HW/SW Test products; participating in negotiations; responsible for establishing and executing project Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and funding authorizations; initiating the launch of new designs and subsequent shop orders; and managing all cost/ schedule and performance related activities. What you'll get to do: Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree with 2 years of experience or a Masters degree with 0 years of experience in a related technical field. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Active Secret Clearance required. Demonstrated leadership responsibilities in a team environment Basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing and Test Integration process Basic understanding of SAP Production/Materials management tools or similar tool set Ability to work on-site at BWI campus and areas nearby. Preferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of Earned Value and SPI/CPI in determining the critical path of a project, EAC and experience preparing workload forecasts Solid use of Excel and SAP Production/Materials management tool or similar tool set Experience in Engineering Design or Systems Current active Secret clearance with SAP/SAR access Masters degree in Engineering, Business Management, Engineering Leadership, or equivalent Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
