Test Engineer

17-19p/h (37.5hr week average, 9 day fortnight)
My client are a family owned company who have been trading exceptionally for a number of years. Due to continued growth and in line with the ambitions of the business they are looking for 2 Test Engineers to join the Test team. The company are a leading electrical manufacturing company who have pioneered industry changing products over the last decade. The company are dedicated to training and have funding available for successful candidates to further advance their careers via a inhouse portal.
The Role of Test Engineer:
Reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer; key responsibilities will be the testing, repair and troubleshooting across the range of company products both inhouse and on site.
- In-house testing of enclosures/control panels
- Testing of LV cabinets and control devices
- Complete protection modifications
Knowledge and Experience of Test Engineer:
- Minimum of 5 years testing experience within an electrical engineering company
- Experience of testing and commissioning transformers essential.
- Hold electrical qualifications and have knowledge of electrical regulations is essential
- The ability to understand electrical schematic drawings is essential
- Clear understanding of Health & Safety & Risk Assessment policies and responsibility
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel
- Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to assist in other departments when required
