Country Intelligence Group is seeking a Full-Time Test Engineer to support our client located in Chantilly, Virginia. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automation frameworks in support of mission-critical software systems. This role requires experience in both manual and automated testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with development teams and stakeholders. Tasks Performed:
• Collaborate with development and project teams to gather and analyze requirements
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality and ensure quality
• Maintain and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks to increase test coverage and efficiency
• Perform regression testing to verify that updates and fixes do not impact existing functionality
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues and improve software reliability
• Analyze test results and report on progress, defects, and system readiness
• Work closely with developers to debug and troubleshoot issues discovered during testing
• Identify opportunities to improve testing tools, techniques, and processes Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• IP networking and secure transport practices
• Network security technologies (firewalls, proxies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.)
• Cybersecurity operations and technologies (defensive and offensive)
• Familiarity with covert communications systems
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and cloud security best practices
• Experience configuring and securing Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Mobile OS
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with computer networks used in clandestine intelligence operations (Preferred)
• Understanding of covert communications techniques and data anonymization/misattribution (Preferred)
• Experience in evaluating counterintelligence threats and vulnerabilities (Preferred)
• Familiarity with foreign intelligence and security services' capabilities (Preferred)
• Understanding of cellular technologies, including SMS, MMS, voice, and data communications (Preferred)
• Knowledge of wireless networking and RF technologies, including clandestine technical collection operations (Preferred) Other Job Requirements:
• Minimum Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
