Caribou Thunder is seeking a Test Engineer to join our team. The qualified applicant will become part of the Warfighter Simulations and Services Agile Release Train. Thid position offers opportunities to support the U.S. Missile Defense System through the development of Modeling and Simulation applications used in warfighter training and exercises, concept evaluation, developmental engineering, testing and verification, and assessment. RESPONSIBILITIES
Test new capabilities, document new features, and analyze simulation performance.
Collaborate with product and development teams, external users, and customers to define acceptance criteria for new features.
Support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems.
Contribute to agile software team efforts within a larger team context.
Assist in the development of simulation and software architectures.
Interface with MDST customers and present technical briefings to MDST stakeholders.
Research technical details related to various missile defense systems to support model creation and enhancement.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative teamwork. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration.
Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
Understanding of software development and Linux platforms.
Experience with C or Java source code.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret level.
Experience in modeling and simulation.
Knowledge or experience with SQL queries.
Experience with OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) system simulations.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Experience working with large code base M&S systems using optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platforms.
Knowledge or experience in areas such as missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development.
Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GIT. BENEFITS
