We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer II to join the team with Aerodyne supporting AFRL at Kirtland AFB.

The Test Engineer II will:

Perform test engineering activities including but not limited to: developing test procedures, managing test facilities, executing integration testing, creating operations documentation, analyzing test data, overseeing environmental test operations, and coordinating validation activities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical fields (MS preferred)
  • 4-7 years complex defense systems test experience
  • Experience with environmental testing
  • Knowledge of spacecraft test procedures
  • TS/SCI Clearance required
  • Experience with test planning and execution
  • Background in communications systems
  • Knowledge of test facility operations
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Requisition Preferences:

  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Experience with aerospace testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of signal processing
  • Background in automated test equipment

Additional Information

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
