Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Test Automation Specialist who embodies our core values: Service, Accountability, Customer Focus, Growth, and Integrity.

As a Test Automation Specialist, you will create and execute both manual and automated test plans while designing and implementing automation frameworks to support various projects. Your role will also entail documenting processes and providing team updates as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, execute, and maintain manual functional tests for new features.
  • Add and adjust test framework functionality based on changing requirements, validating correctness.
  • Analyze failures and collaborate with technical staff to ensure root causes are thoroughly investigated.
  • Work alongside the software development team to design and implement automation framework requirements and suggest application enhancements.
  • Design, build, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks and components as required.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum teams, reviewing acceptance criteria, providing test estimates, and executing tests.
  • Investigate and document issues using logs, browser developer tools, and other diagnostic resources. Track tasks and issues in JIRA.
  • Enhance automation framework efficiency and scalability by minimizing redundancies across platforms.
  • Plan, execute, and create system tests; facilitate user acceptance and regression testing in collaboration with the business.
  • Ensure testing activities meet business requirements and systems goals while identifying potential issues.
  • Collaborate with software/systems personnel in various testing methodologies including system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing.
  • Track defects and communicate test progress, results, and pertinent information to stakeholders and management.
  • Manage lower environments for the Scrum team's application suites.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • 2+ years of experience with automation test development tools and testing frameworks such as Selenium, Postman, Test Cafe, Web Driver, SOAP, and REST APIs.
  • Advanced software development knowledge with a minimum of 3 years in C , .NET, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of continuous integration systems (Octopus, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.).
  • Proficiency in source code management tools like TFS, SVN, or GIT, with a strong grasp of Git/GitLab and branching strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of REST and substantial experience in web services APIs testing/automation.
  • Thorough understanding of software development and testing best practices for preparing test scenarios, cases, script creation, and execution.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders and peers across departments.
  • Strong writing skills, capable of adhering to established software procedures and generating necessary documentation, defect logs, and root cause analyses.
  • Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and appreciation of Agile methodologies.
