About the role - The Test Automation Engineer will hold a key role on our QA and Testing team. They will be responsible for identifying opportunities for automation within the software development life cycle and implementing them with the necessary code, tools, and frameworks.
What you'll do - Designing and executing QA tests with scripts that test functionality periodically without the need for human intervention.
- Performing tests on all parts of the product's infrastructure, such as databases, networks, applications, systems, software, firmware, and hardware.
- Finding places within the team's software development process where automation could be executed.
- Analyzing and Understanding testing procedures and requirements.
- Locating bugs and identifying quality issues within various processes, whether on a business, development, or service level
- Working with other departments, including non-technical team members to understand how automation can improve their processes and identify areas of improvement. Working with developers and the IT staff to align test automation with code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. (CI/CD).
- Obtaining requirements from stakeholders and end-users to find automation solutions that align with development goals.
- Ensuring product quality & processes.
- Installing the necessary tools and frameworks that make better automation possible
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, management information systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more (5+ years) of test automation experience.
- Working knowledge of Web and Mobile testing.
- Strong knowledge of automation frameworks.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency with database usage and SQL, SQL Server.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
- Proficiency with low-code automation solutions.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile development methodology and concepts.
- Five or more (5+ years) of Life and/or Annuity Insurance experience is preferred
- Experience with PowerShell and / or Windows Commands preferred.
The pay range for this role is:
100,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Rosemont)
