We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Test Analyst within our Information and Communication Technology Department (ICT) - Projects and Programs. We are looking for someone to join our Test Team, ensuring that the systems being introduced or upgraded are tested to ensure their safe deployment.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Test Analyst is to support software quality assurance by collaborating with colleagues and suppliers to identify, manage, and resolve issues. The Test Analyst will adhere to testing standards, ensure the timely completion of test cycles, and assist in test planning and case preparation for both BAU and project work.

Job responsibilities
  • Analyze, manage, and resolve issues or failures found within the software by working with the Test Lead, Project Managers, and suppliers.
  • Adhere to the local Test Specification, standards, and processes laid out by the Test Lead.
  • Ensure testing cycles are completed within the required timeframes for release.
  • Assist the Test Lead with planning and preparation for testing new software versions.
  • Prepare and localize test cases, ensuring full coverage of deployment units and areas of work for both BAU and projects.
  • Identify dependencies and prerequisites.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) by testing digital solutions to confirm they meet requirements, including business processes, reporting, printing, interfaces, devices, performance, and messaging.
  • Understand requirements well and produce related documentation for test cases.
  • Develop and maintain systems for recording and managing defects and issues, and produce reports for the Test Lead.

Experience
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of healthcare information, systems, pathways, and protocols.
  • Experience working with Excel and other Microsoft applications.
