ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships in a collaborative selling environment.
  • Oversee delivery operations in accordance with the transportation department's schedules; address any issues during the order process such as delivery discrepancies and stock shortages.
  • Communicate with clients regarding accounts receivable, collaborating with the credit department to ensure all balances are collected as per agreed terms.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by utilizing market intelligence, business directories, and leads from current clients; actively participate in networking events and trade shows.
  • Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and competitors to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Travel to customer sites to ensure proper product delivery, which may involve lifting and carrying items weighing up to 75 lbs.

No direct reports.

RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal: Collaborate with District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, and other key stakeholders.
  • External: Engage with customers, vendors, and potential clients.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work primarily in the field, visiting customers in various weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Background in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and cold calling abilities to generate new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Competitive mindset with a focus on achieving results.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Team-oriented approach to collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $50,000 to $90,000. This position also offers incentive compensation.
