ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Build and nurture strong customer relationships using a collaborative approach.
- Oversee deliveries according to the established routing schedule, resolving issues like mis-picks and stock shortages promptly.
- Communicate and manage accounts receivable in collaboration with the credit department, ensuring balances are collected based on approved terms.
- Utilize market intelligence and networking opportunities to uncover new business prospects, leveraging existing client leads and industry events.
- Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and competitors' offerings, sharing this knowledge with clients as part of added value service.
- Drive to customer locations for product delivery, which may require lifting and carrying items up to 75 lbs.

RELATIONSHIPS - Internal: District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.
- External: Customers, vendors, prospective customers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Frequent travel outside the office, visiting clients in various weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- Experience in foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Ability to foster internal and external relationships and effectively cold call new business opportunities.
